Q: Carrie, can you give me some more information about what on earth ‘Chocolate Rehab’ is, as surely chocolate is such a pleasurable and innocent thing? Why do people need ‘Chocolate Rehab,’ isn’t that a bit drastic?
A: Aha, of course, I get the question completely and get asked it all the time! LOL! Given that chocolate is such a socially-acceptable addiction, and so affordable it often gets ignored, and not taken seriously by even choc addicts themselves, and I was no different here!

What I have found through extensive observation is that chocolate is often used as an ‘avoidance strategy,’ for chocolate addicts. For example: avoidance of intimacy and sex, (yep, many women prefer it to sex- less stress and less mess as chocolate for women is like ‘an orgasm in a wrapper,’ only quicker!) facing up to issues like stress or work concerns, to becoming your own best friend, reaching one’s potential, avoiding one’s light, and so the list goes on!

These avoidance strategies are natural and perfectly normal so by addressing them through Chocolate Rehab is a special time for those who sign up.

Q: Can you give me details about Chocolate Rehab Carrie?
A: Sure I can! The 12-Steps of Chocolate Rehab are multi-layered looking at your life on an emotional, energetic, spiritual, relational and sexual level. Yep, I’m not addressing the mental aspect in very much detail at all as I feel it is best to look at your feelings over your thoughts, as they are infinitely more powerful and hold the keys to the real you.

Through Chocolate Rehab, you will look at how to bring more balance, more love, and more fulfilment into your life so that you can wake up knowing you are of value, knowing you are loved by both yourself and others, and knowing your purpose in life, instead of just knowing how valuable you are to chocolate companies!

You will also look at identifying alternative sources of pleasure to chocolate and see how you can create an orgasmic life!

Q: But Carrie, don’t people have just an hour’s session with a hypnotherapist or NLP practitioner to name but a few alternative therapies and sort out their addiction?
A: For that I have no doubt! All avenues for helping people to overcoming this addiction are great! As a chocolate addict, out of rehab, I can only authentically comment that for me the journey to overcoming my own addiction to chocolate was a lot deeper than just the mental level as you will discover through reading my book; hence my multi-layered approach in Chocolate Rehab.

Q: Does Chocolate addiction really exist Carrie?
A: I feel it absolutely does from my own personal experiences and from having spoken to quite a few women around the world, in particular Australia, I know it does, bless them.

Of course, I am aware that some scientists and people do not believe that there is such a thing as chocolate addiction, which is perfectly fine.

Q: How do I know, Carrie, if I am addicted to chocolate and need Chocolate Rehab?
A: Quite simply, I feel that deep down we all instinctively know whether our consumption of chocolate is a healthy enjoyment or an addiction through looking at not just the amount we eat but the associations that we have with the chocolate.

Q: How do you know Carrie about overcoming chocolate addiction with Chocolate Rehab?
A: ‘Confessions of a Chocoholic:’

Because it takes one to know one, and I used to be a chocoholic for over ten years! I used to feel that it was the only thing at times that I could rely onto support and help me through my life in good times and in the bad times, a bit like an alcoholic.

I even did a German Oral at University about how important chocolate was in my life much to the amusement of my lecturer. (I got great marks for the language but just not the content, as it was not considered academic enough!! LOL!!)

I know, I know I might sound mega-daft, and I am, and it’s good; I love my daft side now; we’re the best of friends.

Now, I know the signs, which I pass on through the 12 Steps of Chocolate Rehab, of when I might become addicted again to chocolate and how to prevent it from happening, as after all, I am human and I have slip ups occasionally.

What I am 100% certain of however is that I know that I will never go back to where I was as I have moved on, on some many different levels, which you can read about in my books as I expose some very painful lessons that I have been through to reach this point. Today, it’s just a matter of applying daily what I have discovered and being conscious of this.

*** The top question asked of me is: "Do you still eat chocolate Carrie?" ***

I do! I still eat chocolate and I can confidently say that I no longer need to leave the house daily at whatever time of day or night to get my ‘chocolatey fix’ like I used to!

Remember: Chocolate Rehab is not anti-chocolate, as I believe when you completely ban something you want it more and it’s important to have balance in life; including with chocolate.
